I'm installing a remote starter on a mustang 2000 coupe and i'm getting confuse with the transpoder connector i'm using the directed 1100f ford pats interface but when i try to program the installation mode (standar mode); To register the selection i hold the button until the ligth is green but as soon i release the button the red ligth comes on, I chek the connections and here is were i get confuse. The installation manual say that i supouse to use the 1A type, and this connector has only 4 wires but in my car there are 7 wires i dont know if i'm connecting on the rigth connector or not but this is located under the dash in front of the drivers seat, tied with two black scrwes on the left side of the center console, is this the rigth connector? ( 1 - Ground: 2 - Ignition:  3 -Rx:  4 - Tx. Thank you

I think it should be a green plug. It has 4 wires only on it. Unless you don't have an immobilizerposted_image

Try to remote start it without hooking it up.

Thank you i was hooking it up to the wrong connector, now is ok. The light is green like the manual says  but i can't remote start. The only way is leaving the car key in the ignition switch , if i take the key off, the engine does not start. "The way that i programed  is, when the green light flashes twice. i turn the car key into the on position and wait for the light to turn on green wait 2 sec. and turn the key off. After following what the manual says a couple of times, the car still wont turn on.

It is not programmed for the module correctly. You need 2 keys to program.

Plug your module in, then turn the key to the on position. The LED should go out after 5 seconds. IF it does not, you possibly have one of your RX/TX wires mixed up.

If it turns off, then test to make sure the LED on the module follows the pattern of the LED on the dash. Or just try to remote start it.

Also check your ignition, and GWR wire also to make sure they are getting correct voltage. I think there was a defect in the 1100F's that they wouldn't read GWR wire very well. So temporarily just ground it to see if that works after you have done what I said above.
