Hi Guys,

I'm planning to install a viper 5901 into my 2001 nissan silvia without engine start but I would like to keep the turbo timer feature.

Is this possible to do with the viper 5901?

I've searched around and it seems like no one has an answer.

Initially i wanted to keep my apexi turbo timer and have the viper alarm working with it. I know that you can change the IGN wire to ACC if you have a starter cut to get them working with each other. But I would perfer to have starter cut and Fuel cut.

Is there any chance this can be done ? Someone suggested using the turbo timers IGN out to keep the fuel pump running. Can anyone help me with a diagram so i can better understand the setup?

Ignore aftermarket turbo timers, take an aux from the Viper, set to timer for say 1.5 mins., run to 85 on a relay, 86 and 87 to a permanent live at 30amps fused, ignition 1 from keyswitch, join to 87a, join other side to 30, job done. End journey, press aux button, remove key, engine should still be running, exit car, turn on alarm and engine will keep runing for the remainder of that 1.5 mins or until you press the aux button again.

Thanks for your fast reply. As i under stand it as soon as the alarm is armed the fuel cut will kick in and even if we use the AUX to keep the car running as soon as the fuel runs out the car will splatter and die.

Is it possible to keep the Fuel cut disabled untill the timer shuts down?

What fuel cut? I believe that unit has provision for a starter cut. Anything else is NOT SAFE. A bad joint, you're doing 70 and accelerating to pass and the engine dies? Don't think so.

I'm in australia and our insurance companies require us to have atleast 2 points imobilized. This is usually at the starter and fuel.

I forgot to add I was intending to use ground when armed wire to cut off fuel pump.

Sorry, you should have told me about being in Oz with the 3 required cuts, very stupid, Oz regs. like Europe are UK Thatcham based, which require 2 cuts, but even here, with modern Euros which have OEM recognised transponders, we are getting away for safety reasons with starter only. I'm assuming one cut is starter second ignition, will wiring as my last post is OK, you will need 4 relays! Two for the cuts and 2 for the turbo timers.
