hello every one i don't know if this question has been ask before  but i work in a few late model chevy trucks 2007 and up i usually have problem accessing the wires at the transponder to install the bypass  the problem is i have not figure out how to take the lower cover of the steering wheel cover due to the tilt steering wheel adjuster is there anything on this on how to remove this tilt switch

If i remember right there is a torx screw that attaches the adjust lever to the column. Just have a peak in there and see.

lever slides towards yourself  easy to pull off

the tilt wheel lever just pops out, put a fibre stick(or other non marring item )between arm and column and POP it off towards the drivers door, then the cover just unsnaps from the front(steering wheel side) first, sometimes a little tricky to line back up for reinstall but not bad after you do it a few times
impala has torx screw holding cover on yimke, but lever still just unpops on those too

That's right. I guess it has been a while since I have done a Remote start in the Chevy lineup. *Waits for winter*

so i just pull the tilt lever toward the driver door   i try but it was hard and i'm afraid of breaking it so there is no screw on this one  ?   thanks for your respond    to all     i'll try it again when i get another

Yup, that's how it comes off.  Do it little by little, it's in there pretty good, especially if it's never been out before, but definitely no screw there.  And yes, pry (pull) towards the drivers door!
