Hey guys i've got a 1998 Jeep wrangler that i'm looking to install this alarm onto. Its a used alarm i removed from one of my previous vehicles but i'm having a bit of trouble understanding the instructions for installation. I've installed alarms before but this one just seems to be a lil more complicated since everything isnt built into the control module.

So these are the issues i'm having:

1. I'm trying to figure out the hood pin switch wires. There is an instant trigger wire (Dark Green) dedicated to the hood pin & trunk pin. would i just connect a wire from both hood & trunk pins to this green wire?

2a. This question relates to the first one. There is always a gray w/black wire (Negative Inhibit Input Plus Trigger When Armed). That also connects to the hood pin switch. This is taken from the manual: "The Grey w/ Black Trace wire provides an instant shutdown for the Remote Start Control Module whenever it is grounded also trigger for the alarm when armed." am i right to assume it ALSO triggers for the alarm when armed? if so then i dont have to connect the Dark green wire to the hood pin switch, correct?

2b. Theres a second question relating to the same wire. Manual states "If the pin switch is to be used with an alarm system, connect this wire using the diode assembly provided." i didnt see a diode assembly but is this necessary? i cant just connect the gray/black wire to the hood pin? i need to place a diode within the wire line? if so why?

3. last but not least. it seems i didnt take the control switch for the autostart off the last car. is there anyway i can get that toggle switch and little male end that plugs into the module?

Thanks in advance for your time and help.
