i have a j5f-tx2000 remote that i just bought. How do you program the remote to the cars rs-123 astrostart system in a 1997 montecarlo?

Pin switch #8 -up

press brake and release

press LOCK

press brake again and release

Pin switch # 8 down

Remote is now programmed
