hey guys i installed this remote start to this car like 3 or 4 years ago and my wife wanted me to add a remote trunk release for it but i lost the instalation manual that it came with can you guys tell me what color wire i have to use from the brain and is the output negative or positive and i'm more likely have to use a relay to convert it and boost the signal right??? in the trunk i'm using just a regular door actuator grounded 1 wire and the other wire is hot please let me know so i can keep the wife happy lol thanks alot

You do need a relay, since you are driving the actuator directly, and your current setup switches hot to release the trunk. The red with white stripe is the low current (200ma) negative channel two output. You would need to convert the low current negative to high current positive. Also, remember that you have to hold the aux button for 2 seconds for it to activate.

I would be very surprized if the actuator pulled more than 7.5 amps of current.    Try a 7.5 and maybe a 10 if the 7.5 is not holding up.    What size wire did you use?

RED / white from alarm to 85 on relay, also if required to dashboard switch, other side to ground.

12v+ constant, 7.5 -10amps fused to 30 and 86 on relay.

87 to actuator.

87a not used.

Note, I would avise a 1N4004 across 85 and 86 of the relay with the band towards 86. It will protect the alarm's RED / white aux output circuitry.
