Hello everyone, I have just purchased a 561r and trying to figure out the wireing before i get into the truck. My question is on the 4 pin satellite harness what are these wires for? I know the blue wire goes to my pljx for the bypass but i am not sure what the pink, purple, orange wire are used for if anything.

Also i am putting in electric door locks since my truck did not come with them, do i need to run four relays or can i just combine the locks on two relays?

I would really appreciate any help with this.

Thanks

Dennis

They would only be used if for instance you needed to power a relay for a second starter wire. Read the instructions. 1 pair of relays, or use the relay that comes with the lock kit. approx 5-7.5 amps per actuator.

First thanks for answering my post. I guess that I do not need to use those wires then.

So what you are saying is that if i wanted to start a second engine like a generator or something like that?  That is really kind of goofy i think maybe they just added them to confuse us LOL.

As far as the relays, that is what i thought one pair both lock motors connected to them.

Thanks again, now my journey can begin.

Some vehicles (most Nissans, some Toyotas) have a second starter wire. You would use the skinny purple to trigger a relay to provide power to the second starter wire.

I tried the website's crystal ball and magic 8 ball, and neither one of them told us what you have for a truck. I'm going to guess its a GM vehicle. Am I psychic today or did my magic powers fail me again?

That vehicle has 2 ignitions (pink, white), 1 starter (yellow), and 1 accessory (orange). Constant wires in the ignition harness are red and RED / white or two separate reds.   Some people say you need to hook up the second accessory wire (brown) but I never did back when I was installing. I think there was a thread here about a year ago about the oxygen sensor failing early if it wasn't hooked up.
If you wanted to you would wire a relay as follows:
85 - skinny orange in 4 pin harness
86 and 87 - fused constant power (20 amp fuse should be fine)
30 - to second accessory wire (brown) in truck

btw, I knew what type of vehicle you had because of the bypass module. I didn't know the year, or model though.

Wow thanks ALOT for the help. I am sure i will be needing more help once i get into it. Is there any other hang up I should be aware of while I do this? Can you remember what the truck wire colors are for the two ignitions? I do have a haynes manual I will also look.

Thank you very much again.

"I know the blue wire goes to my pljx for the bypass but i am not sure what the pink, purple, orange wire are used for if anything."  Could you explain to me specifically what the blue wire "status output" should be connected to?

status output from alarm or rs unit will go into the GWR (ground when running) of the bypass.
