hey all i been trying to install a kill switch ignition in my 02 gt b.c my neighborhood is pretty bad.. but i been stuck so some help would be appreciated.. fyi.. i been searching for 2 weeks around and none of the threads from other forums are clear enough or on different car models so i thought i start my own for personal help

i ordered this https://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXJ776&P=FR to start out..

so here is what i know so far, correct me if im wrong: start from the ignition by taking apart it then finding the correct wire, ( use service manual to find right wire) so cut the 1 or 2 correct wire then use what i bought to fill in the cut i made? Then bring in a cord to extend it? Im sort of lost, help would be appreciated.. sort of what to do this on my own!

I don't see the point. The car already has a factory immobilizer on it. if a thief can figure out how to get past that, they will definately get past your little switch. If you really want to protect your car, install an alarm.

That wire looks awfully small, you probably won't be able to safely wire an ignition lead direclty through it, you will probably need a relay.  If the relay isn't installed properly (or if you forget to turn it "on") it will drain your battery.  This really isn't a good solutiion - try to find a bigger switch (at least 15A).
