Thank you for the help first off, I have a 01 yukon that I have put in remote start(audiovox- asp620), at first I thought it was not cranking long enough, but if I use the key I can get it to start remove key still runs, and the remote start will turn it over, no passlock but has the security light, I am stumped all the wires are hooked up properly, to the best of my knowledge, tested and retested any ideas would be greatly appreciated thanks!

Your post is confusing, so I'm only guessing that you are saying your truck doesn't have passlock? Your truck has passlockII. You will need to bypass this before the truck will remote start.

sorry did not mean to confuse, is passlock not in the key?? I have a bare key that starts it just fine.

Do I need a dei 457g or equilevent? or is it just the keysense wire light green - form harness

yeah, you do need a bypass even though you have a plain key. i did an impala like this a long time ago and it stumped me too so dont feel bad.

Click me Erik
I prefer to use a bypass module, but this way will work also.

Check this out. Tells you how passlock II works.

saw the rest of the post, sorry, is there a way to work around this? unplug or cut wire while running? These antitheft things are a joke, if they want the car it will be gone.

so in that one it looks like a resistor fix will work, still have all the old junk from bypassing one on an old caddy, should be easy enough then, thanks for all the replys I will let you know how it goes ;)

Okay I have a dumb question now, Do I need to do a door pulse after shutdown to turn off the radio? is there an easier way?
