I am having problems wiring the horn on a astrostart 2100 in a 1996 suzuki esteem and i got this info Connect the P2 light green directly to the blue/black at the column, on your car!

A relay should not be needed. if it is .... wire like so.

87 to ground

86 12volts fused

85 the P2 light green

30 to the blue/black on your car.

87a not used and its still confusing how to wire the horn so if someone can explain this better to me it would be greatly appreciated

Assuming that output for the horn is negative, with at least a 200ma capability it can connect directly to the negative trigger wire at the steering column, simply because it would be sufficient to trigger the factory relay for the horn. However if say by some stretch of the imagiation this output doesn't suffice to trigger the relay then the additional relay would be needed to boost the negative signal of the alarm's horn output. The output of the added on relay would then be connected to the negative trigger wire at the steering column only this time the signal will be stronger and definitely capable of triggering the factory relay.

Yes, but did you verify this with a meter! There's now way on earth that trigger wire needs a second relay, unless you have a defective relay to start with!

did you test the output of the module to make sure that works ? i agree with t&t theres no way you should need to relay that wire

In all the years of installing Astros I have never doen a horn connection that actually required a relay.

If the output isnt strong enough, wire the relay as described above!

Remember, use a DMM to verify!
