hi, just bought this truck.  while driving the dash lights flash, hear clicking noise and then truck makes whistling noise. truck has keyless entry. any ideas.  i use remote to lock and unlock the door.

Is it a factory, or aftermarket keyless entry?

almost sounds like the alternator is going bad.  I'd have the charging system checked out asap.

I should note that before I had my 09, I used to have an 04 F150 with the 5.4 too.  They were known for having bad alternators that first year although I never had any problems with mine.  When all the lights and stuff start going crazy while driving, that is usually a sign of a bad alternator.  Let us know what you find out if you get the charging system checked.
