So I just bought the car of my dreams, a 2002 Crown Victoria LX Sport. But now I'm parnoid about someone breaking into it. My work has posted a Viper accommodation that we can use to get some pretty good discounts on some viper products the only problem is that I'm not very familiar with what's what's when it comes to car alarm system and I have a few questions about some of the things that are listed on the sheet here. I've decided to go with the 5902V (Viper 7901 HD SST Color Security & Remote Start), and I'll also go ahead and get the Back-Up Battery System(520T), Window Automation System(530T), Digital Tilt Motion Sensor(507M) and the Audio Sensor(506T) What is a Bitwriter Tool V2.6(998T), Bitwriter Upgrade Kit V2.6(998U) and Bitwriter Main IC(998M)? Also they list several interfaces but they don't give a description of what they are for, the interfaces are 556U, DLPK, DLPKCHG2, PKALL, XK01 and XK06.

Nice car! One of the few real cars left on the planet.
Anyway,
530T: Does four windows up, or four windows down, or two windows up down. If your want full up/down control of all four windows in your sedan, you need to buy TWO 530T.
Bitwriter: Allows you to save a few seconds by plugging into the back of the Viper brain, and you can program all the features (remote start runtime, etc), using the Bitwriter's hand-held display.
It's a timesaver for professional installers doing a half dozen cars per day. For your single car, you can just program all these features using the Viper's install guide and the remote control that comes with it.
556U: Allows you to temporarily bypass your Ford's anti-theft system during remote start. NOTE: One of your spare Crown Vic keys gets placed in this module, and stays there forever. You lose the use of one of your keys.
PKALL: I think this is the one for your Ford, but you should check to make sure. Allows you to install the remote start without losing any of your existing keys. NOTE: Requires two existing good Ford keys to program.
XK01, XK06, DLPKCHG2: For other kinds of cars, mostly GM.
OTHER NOTES:
1. Labor for alarms is much more than the product. Now matter how good of a deal you're getting on these products, if you're planning on having someone else install them, keep in mind that each of those extra modules you're getting adds significant labor cost.
2. You do have two keys for this car right?

Yeah I'm definitly planning on paying someone to put it in, and I have 2 keys. So, I'll change my order to include the following: - 5902V
- 520T
- 530T(x2)
- 507M
- 506T
- PKALL
Is there anything else I can buy to help me sleep at night? I really don't know a whole lot when it comes to this type of stuff, and this is all the accomodation has to offer. I'm also thinking bout putting in a double din and maybe even a monitor in the back. I'm tired of being stocked out. --PB
