can you please give me an example as to which dei you would get i mean dei i been to the website and there are all kinds of kits i mean i want a good reliable brand and i know dei has good ones but not sure as to which one would fit my needs i mean i dont want to spend $500 bucks on a viper system simply because it has 1 mile range keyless entry and the remote start when i could probable get a python for 200 bucks less. i seen a few kits on dei that i liked but i never heard of CODE before ill check them out and thanks for your input

Dont get upset...but if you include comma's...periods...question marks...etc...You will get so many more responses and help...I promise...! It is so hard to read a super-duper long run-on sentence...! And most of the people on here will start to read your post and just move on to the next...! Just my 2 cents...!

bro im sorry if i offend any one my spelling and grammer can be poor at times im sorry if i sounded upset it was not my intention i want to be helped and help others in any way possible i will try to learn how to use question marks and commas etc. spelling and grammer were my worst subjects in school but english and reading were my best math a little bit but like i said before im new here just will take me a little bit of time before i get use to the way things run around here so really bro i apologize if i sounded up set ill work on my grammer.

The viper 560xv is a great choice, simple, reliable, remote start and shut off, built in immobiliser, you can add your keyless later on, no pager though, but i didn't see you mention if would like this or not!

Oh and welcome to the fourum!

The starter you posted the link with looks reasonable, made by dei so it should be reliable, but i personally have no experience with boa so i can't say for sure! I recommended viper cuz that's wat i'm accustomed to! But if you are purchasing it spend the extra couple bucks and get the new one not the refurbished!

I'm not sure where the Boa comment came from but I do have experiance with them and I will NEVER buy another one again.  The range is absolutely terrible - I've tried mounting the antenna in countless different ways and have no improvement.  I have to be within 8' of the car to reliably make it work.  Spend a little extra and get a valet 562t

If you are having a shop install this you are better off having them do what brand they sell. If there an issue they can resolve it. If you bring your own equipment any problems you encounter are out of your pocket as you supplied the product. Avital 4103 solid unit easy to use, autopoage rs603 solid unit easy to use. BOA's are crap, keep looking. Scytek is a great money maker for me, we removed approx, 48-49 units last year to replace them with a viper.

code is code alarm and they have been around for as long time, they used to be one of if not the onlt one made in usa, but they have since been bought by audiovox, i have used audiovox and code alarm for years with excellent reliability, many great options out there just gotta find one you klike with all the features you feel you want/need etc.
but as stated above, buy one from the shop doing the install so as to avoid uneccessary expenses(i.e- unit fails, you have paid to install it now you have to pay to remove it, you have to send it to manufacturer for repair then pay to have it reinstalled)where if you bought product from that shop they will warranty on the spot

well bro as for me having it installed at a shop i dont think i want a crappy kit because the shop close to were i live just about install scytek and i found a audio store that does autopage they have a kit that will do keyless entry and remote start i think for like $330 installed......i think im better off buying a viper i seen a kit that sells for around $250 or something like that....

i hear you on your statement about the audiovox and seems like a good reliable product but like i mentioned in another post i dont think i wanna get it installed because most shops around were i live install scytek and not only that some shops advertise a remote system install for $120 i think those are worthless kits...

Doubt you could ever go wrong with Viper. I would hurry and grab up the 1 new one from gooddeals18. Also in the description says: There is a 2 year gooddeals18 warranty on this item.

Ok guys I bought me a viper remote start its the 160XVL SST 1 miles range model and i was just wanting to install remote start since my car does not have factory alarm, power door locks, power windows etc... i dont plan on using any extra features like the extra channel outs or installing the dome light supervision. Could i just add the remote start feature and later i plan on installing actuators to make my car keyless entry at a later date also since my car doesnt have the factory alarm i dont see a need for a bypass module i also heard if my ignition keys dont have a chip in them chanes are my car doesnt have that passlock feature on it but can you guys help me out please thanks in advance.

please excuse my poor spelling and grammer..
