I will be installing a DEI 5002 on a Chevy Silverado 2004 . Will be installing door actuators to add power locks. Any hints or diagrams would help. Looking for info on how to wire the onboard 451m relay the front and passenger actuators.  I realize I may need additional relays. thanks

You won't require any additional relays for the actuators! here's how it's done!

BLACK/ white- dome light input ( unused)

violet and violet/black which are common- to twelve volts permanent

BROWN / black- ground

WHITE/ black- ground

GREEN/ black- actuator motor (lock)

blue/black- actuator motor (unlock)

I gave that description form my head, let me know if i made any mistakes as to the wire colours.

You did well thank you. But I will have two actuators so wires from both will connect to the ones listed on the 451m? Do most actuators come with wiring..standard colors?

As t&t said, you will not need the 451m since your system already has onboard relays. Not all actuators are univeral colors, so, this is how to do it. Assuming your actuators are 2 wire and the wires are green and blue. (colors don't matter, just using these 2 as a example, because they are the most common) Hook everything up like t&t said. On the GREEN/ black take your 2 green wires and put them on this wire. Take your 2 blue wires and put them on the blue/black and test. If you press lock on your transmitter and the doors unlock, you need to swap the actuator wires.

Yes both will connect to the wire on the 451m, normal actuators come with two wires, you can switch the wiring around until you get it right!

I have noticed a few posts regarding problems with the 520t.  Once in a while I will test mine to see if it works. Well after disconnecting my battery yesterday mine does not power the alarm nor trigger it.  It worked a few months ago. So I tested it with a volt meter and got 12 volts. Upon connecting it to my alarm system..with main car battery disconnected.. the voltage dropped to 3.5 volts almost immediately. I have double checked my connections and grounds. Does anyone know if these are Nikad batteries or led acid? My understanding is Nikad batteries have a hard time holding a charge when constantly being driven at 12volts. They are better off being ran down before recharging. My other thought was I live in a hot climate and it problably reaches at least 130 degrees in my car. I purchased these 520Ts off Ebay supposedly brand new.. could that be an issue or is it just how these batteries work...? I am looking at maybe switching to another type of 12volt battery that is led acid based. posted_image

I also wish to add my vehicle uses a + parking light wire to flash the lights..should the white park/light wire by hooked up a different way?

I am having an issue connecting the White Park light wire from Viper 5002 to this vehicle.  The wire diagram lists 2 park light wires on this truck unless it is an error. I have +park light as brown in the driver kick panel, and - gray/blk at the BCM brown plug.  I also see you can connect the H1/11 white to the - gray/blk of the park light switch. I tried hooking up and the park lights did not flash. I am wondering if the park light circuit draws more than 10amps and I need to switch to -wire. If so, how do I wire up the relay.  I would appreciate some help and double check my wire diagram versus what someone else has. thanks

question did you change the fuse jumper for the parkings lights to set it for a negative?  if u didnt slide the door on top of the 5002 and move the fuse to the neg setting.

I will try that. So hook the wht park wire from alarm and hook it to the neg park light wire on vehicle, and switch jumper switch to neg? Do I need a relay involved?  Just confused because there is a positive park light wire in driver kick (brown) and a neg park light wire which is gry/blk at the BCM

correct, you dont need a relay. either wire will work, If you want to use the pos wire leave the jumper fuse the way it is and tag the brown wire in the kick,  if you want to use the neg gry/lblk just move the jumper fuse over,  I always try to tag a neg light.

Hope this helped

The domelight circuit on this vehicle has a delay before it turns off.  The door triggers are separate for each door and are (-). The domelight circuit shows 12v when the light is on. If I am not mistaken, the H1/9 wht blk domelight output wire would connect directly to the ciruit itself..and the H3/A on the 451m relay on board would connect to chassis ground?  The door pins are negative so I want to confirm they connect to H1/8 green wire on alarm and are diode isolated? The domelight circuit wire is gray/blk just as is the park light wire so kinda confusing.. and the door triggers are gray/blk left door and the pass door is BLACK/ wht according to the diagram I have.  Any help would be appreciated to confirm my specs and I am using the right wire diagram. Thanks.

What are you using for a bypass module? This install is much easier with one. It turns the dome light on and off too.
