I have a customer who had a Valet 562t system installed 3-4 years ago by a company no longer in business. He called my shop to say his door locks have quit working and his alarm keeps going off. I am not familiar with this system and he would like to unplug it and still be able to operate his car. Can anyone tell me how to do this? I do not know what to tell him to unplug, let alone find the main box. Could his brain have fried and needs a new one? Please help. I'm a newer shop with a very part-time installer. (won't answer the phone).
Thanks,

Just unplug the main (10-12 wire) connector, that will power the system down
You can also just pull the 15 amp (blue) fuse.
The small whit plug with a green and blue wire is the door lock connector, unplug that also.
What kind of car?
If you want to completely remove the box, the only other thing that I can see from the manual, https://www.the12volt.com/installbay/file.asp?ID=538 Is you may need to find the 8 pin plug, it will be the one with the larger wires on it. There is a purple wire and a green wire on that plug. Follow both of those wires and verify that they are both connected to the same color wire coming from the vehicle's ignition switch. Cut the purple or green wire and connect the 2 ends of the vehicle wiring back together. Then you should be OK to remove the entire box.
Following is optional, this is the starter kill relay. If you disconnect the box, leaving this relay in line will cause no problems. However some people can not handle having the relay still there There should be a relay connected to the orange wire of the 12 pin plug. There are 2 larger wires connected to that relay. Follow them and verify that they too are both connected to the same color wire of the vehicle. Do the same with the 2 wires here also.
