Hi guys,

First I want to thank you guys for all your help, even though you didn't know it lol. I installed a Clifford 50.5x in my 2001 Silverado by reading this site last year, and it's awesome!

I want to install a system in my wife's 300 base, but I want to install an alarm first of course.

I've read through the site but it seems the 300 is going to be a lot more fun then my truck lol. I have the wiring diagram from this post:

https://www.the12volt.com/installbay/forum_posts.asp?tid=105440&KW=StealthEs

Just wanted to make sure this is the one I need to sink my head in?

My main issue right now is the bypass / databus / doorlock module. I don't want to give up a key, and when I go to bypasskit.com i'm not real sure which one(s) to get for her car.

I have two alarms 50.5x & a 50.7x. I thought about putting the 7x in my truck and giving her my 5x or just slap the 7x in her car. Honestly id rather the one that will be easy go in her car if there is a difference.

Any insight would be appreciated.

I may be in over my head, but I want to try this anyway, I've always been a DIY person.

Thanks,
Rich

Dodges defitnely get a little crazy...But for the most part...Everything is done through the bypass...I know some had trouble with going D2D...So i would recommend W2W...We pretty much use  https://flash-it.com/ these days...! Here is a brief description of one...

:
FL532...(model #)
DESCRIPTION:CANbus Doorlock interface and analog transponder override for select Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep vehicles
DETAILS:Overrides the vehicle transponder anti-theft system through the use of a passive ring and allows the installation of an after-market remote starter without sacrificing one of the vehicle's keys. Also provides control of convenience features such as doorlocks, OEM alarm, trunk release and more. Designed to work with select Chrysler/Dodge/jeep vehicles equipped with CANBus technology using simple installation and programming procedures. See our application guide for exact vehicle compatibility.

Here is the factory instuctions for adding a remote start...You will obviously be using a different remote start...But it has dash removal instructions...etc...

I grabbed the install doc for the FL532, and it looks like I'll be using option 7 for the install.

Are they reversed? As in when it says Yellow/Black Door Status (-) output That goes to the Alarm/RS (-) Door Trigger input? or Pink Ignition (+) Input goes to the (+) Ignition output on the Alarm/RS?

I'm not sure what to do with the Panic (-) input brown wire.

And I think the E-Brake (-) output Green goes to the Neutral Safety switch input on the Alarm?

Just want to make sure I understand the module.

Thanks,
Rich

Am I on the right track with the wiring Tommy? I tried to register on the Flash-it.com site and ask but I'm color blind and I can't make out the verification image so it denied me after a few tries. I hate those things lol.

I really appreciate your help, and I'm pretty sure I'm on it, just don't want to mess up on her car or I'll be a dead colorblind man lol :-)

Sounds like you have the door trigger and the ignition RIGHT...Instead of tagging the door trigger for alarm...The bypass will tell the alarm when a door is open...As far as the Ignition Input...I dont think it would matter if you tie it in the alarm/rs ignition output or the cars...They should both power up at the same time...But lets go ahead and connect it to the vehicles ignition...! You can try the D2D...If you have any issues...Go W2W...! Saves you some install time...But once when i called tech support for help...He suggested "for now,go w2w on dodges"...? And the e-brake connection...i can only assume its for Manual Transmissions...Again the bypass will tell the r/s that the emergency brake is set...instead of tagging the e-brake wire...!

I got it in, but I was lucky enough to get a bad FLR2 cable. Can't tell you how many times I had to call Audiovox. Lots of people don't know how to resume the call from hold in the cs department...lol yeah lots of disconnects.

Anyway I finally got a really nice guy who helped me, just sent an email requesting the replacement cable per his request so hopefully that gets shipped this week :-)

I do have one question tho, the D2D cable doesn't fit the 50.7x port. Is this something I could find that would fit like a Directed version? Could I Rewire it? Or should I just W2W and say forget it?

I'm thinking W2W, but if D2D works; and is faster it might be worth trying to get a different cable... I dunno.
