Need some help and recommendation. Just got a new 2010 genesis coupe 3.8 that come with an embedded factory alarm system that is very simple. Lock the door with the remote and light flash once. Unlock, light flash twice. When armed, forcing the doors or trunk and the car horn goes on, force the hood and horn goes on. Very basic but ok. i want to add a motion sensor...
What type of alarm would you recommend that can be added to work with the original car system and remote but add a motion detection?
i am looking for something simple that would not mess with the manufacture system and would only trigger the new alarm siren for motion and would arm/disarm in conjunction of the factory system. Recommendation?
Thank you
Well basically any name brand alarm will do what you want...! These are common features...Factory dis-arm...Keyless entry...activating aftermarket alarm when entering a zone/impact on vehicle...The proximity/radar/motion sensor is the only add-on piece...Some will tell you to stay away from them...Is this a convertible? You get alot of false alarms w/ these "motion" sensors...There are normally 2 zones incorporated with these sensors...One for inside the vehicle(if a window was down and they reached in...it would set off alarm)...The second for outside the vehicle(usually get some warning chirps or full trigger when someone enters the zone...birds...the guy next to you in parking lot...that tree branch)...While every step of security helps...You will get alot of falses from this sensor...I would recommend Just keeping the outer zone sensitivity turned down ...(might help some falsing)
