Hello.I'm trying to install a windows rool up module to my jeep Grand cherokee 2000 .It has factory alarm system.I have made all necessary connections but i have problems with triggering.I got trigger from under dash dome light but it roolls up windows at times that i don't want to.I tryied also the "armed" led near windshield but it is a pulsing signal.I don't worry if the triger is positive or negative so please help me is there a wire that could i use which "tells" that my factory alarm is armed? Thanks.

Have you tried the door LOCK output from the factory alarm?

IS the window module programmable for 2 or 3 pulses to initiate the process? If your doors are locked already, and you hit lock on your keyfob, can you hear them trying to lock again?

I meant test the LOCK signal wire from the alarm unit, unless of course the alarm unit is triggered from the vehicle's keyless entry system. Anyway, meter the alarm unit when you lock the car, you're looking for a wire that changes it's state, even momentarily, we can get round that. If there's for instance a trigger wire for locking coming from the alarm unit, if it's neg join to your window control then after the join place a diode on the trigger wire after the join between alarm and vehicle with the bar towards the alarm. Reverse this procedure if it's pos, it wil prevent normal lock operation triggering the window close.

No my module has not 2 or 3 pulses choice only negative or positive continuous or instant triggering. Also my alarm triggered from keyless entry system i don't know where the unit is placed to test its wires.Could anyone help me to find where is it especialy the lock signal wire? The wirings i find in forum doesn't say anything about arm sense. After seeking i found pac tr7 which i may use to take pulse from alarm led and modify it to trigger.Do you have any other idea?

Just hook the (+) input wire up to the lock motor wire of the vehicle. Driver Mtr Lock | | PINK/BLACK | | (REV) | | AT SWITCH IN DRIVERS DOOR |
The pulse from this wire should be long enough to trigger the window mod when you lock the vehicle. The only problem I would see with this, Is that, if you are just sitting in the car without the ignition off....and hit the lock button on the door, it will roll up the windows, but that shouldn't be a big deal.....don't hit the lock button. If your window mod doesn't have an ignition input, ( all window mods i've done, have this) It would also roll up if the lock button is hit while the vehicle is running. If your mod has an ignition input, hook it up, and you would not have to worry about this.

to continue mikvot's post....
To prevent the windows from rolling up when hitting lock switch when ignition is ON, wire an additional relay as follows:
85 - ground
86 - ignition
30 - pink/black (+) lock wire
87a- (+) input trigger of window module

Designtech/Autocommand use to sell something that would have been perfect for this application. I can't remember the part number but it took in 2 pulses and outputs 1.
Let me see if I can find a part number for you, so far I haven't been able to find in with a search. I may have 1 hiding somewhere.

chkafe, The designtech part number is 20990. It is also rebranded as a Omega R&D # PG-01. I don't know if they are still available though. It takes either 2 (+) or (-) pulses in and outputs 1 (+) or (-) depending on what is selected.
