Are sirens more or less the same? I have seen that you can cut some wires inside to change their tones but I haven't checked my Scytek branded siren out yet. Is this a siren mode in this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SKTWpnHSDFE or is it native to DEI products?

This is just the remote making noise in the video...! The siren under hood is silent...! There are after -market sirens you can purchase for different tones...Usual is 6-tone 115db to 125db(manufacture specs anyway!)

On the 514n siren from DEI there are two external loops, a BLACK/ white loop and a black loop, one when cut would erase tones two through six of the siren for the uk market and the other allows the siren to become six decibels louder!

To the original poster of this thread, if you would like a distinct sounding siren you can use a dei siren and change the order of the tones, as most sirens would have a standard six tones! I can help you if you're interested!

The video poster on youtube, did exactly what i was describing!

Darren, I join them back again because most customer's want the 6 tones!  Secondly I cut the other because with the quiet chirps you can hardly hear them and you can always use the silent arm/disarm function if you want.posted_image
