I just installed a DEI Viper800ESP security system in my car.  Everything works great except for one annoying little fault...  No matter which door I open, the door chime goes off.  I read that they need to be diode isolated, but I really don't know how to go about doing it.  The door circuit is a negative circuit for the trigger.  I'm usually pretty good at following schematics and such, as I have a complete stereo, and the security wiring wasn't too bad, but I have absolutely no experiance with diodes.  Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks guys.

Have you already read the "diodes" section on this website?

ok well aparently you you had hooked the green wire or purple wire to those triggers in your car. well check this out i dont know what kind make model or year of your car but here is how to do it. in a negative setup using the green wire of alarm that means you have negative triggers, \
so count how many wires you have connected to and get an equal amount of diodes 1amp diodes will be fine. in a negative setup the strip side of the diodes will have to face the cars wires one diode connected to each of the cars wire., tape it up leaving the other end of the diode exposed now twist all the exposed ends together and use a butt connecter to atach them to the green wire of alarm . this is the best way i can explain this. now if your using the purple wire of the alarm it is setup the same way except the strip side of the diode fases away from the cars wires., thats it after that you should be fine . email me personally for further help.
