Since my work truck was stolen from my driveway one night, I figured I would install a Viper 5901 alarm on my wife's truck so at least maybe I would wake-up if they tried to take hers....

Anyway, my question is how do I wire up the door trigger and door locks?  I've gotten a lot of good information from this forum and I am about ready to tackle the job but I just haven't quite grasped what I need to do with the doors.

1)The wiring diagram says:

"Door Trigger BLACK/ yel (L), BLACK/ pink (R)   -   DKP, gray plug, pins 22, 23
Notes: The wiring above is for vehicles without keyless entry. Vehicles with keyless entry, the door trigger wires are found at the BCM, green plug. The LF door trigger is BLACK / YELLOW in pin 4. The RF door trigger is BLACK/ pink in pin 5. The LR door trigger is BLACK/ lt. blue in pin 12. The RR door trigger is BLACK/ white in pin 13. Use all wires and diode isolate each."

My truck has keyless entry so I assume I have to tie in at the BCM for the door trigger instead of the DKP.  Does this mean that I need to tie into the four wires listed above (diode isolating each like it says) and connect that new splice back to the single (-) door trigger input on the 5901 brain?

2) The Door locks.  Wiring diagram on this forum says: "Power Unlock pink/lt. green   -   DKP or BCM, green plug, pin 1" and the Directed Wiring Diagram that was sent with my alarm has "Power Lock - pink / YELLOW (-) DKP, Power Unlock - pink/lt green (-) DKP, Lock Motor - pink/black (5wi) DKP, Unlock Motor - RED / orange (5wi) DKP"

So I have two wires for door locks on the brain, blue which is (-) Unlock, (+) Lock and green which is (-) Lock, (+) Unlock.  How do I tie these wires into the one(s) listed above to make my alarm lock and unlock the doors?

Any help would be greatly appreciated because I have the interior of my wife's truck all taken apart looking for all the right wires....

Answer

1) yes tie in the fout door trigger wire using four one amp diodes bar facing away from alarm and tie them into the alarm's negative trigger input,

2) the pink/lt green and the pink / YELLOW wires would be the wires you need, tap your alarm's negative lock/unlock wires directly unto these!

Thanks for the quick responce.  So if I understand correctly,  the blue wire from my alarm which supplies the (-) on the unlock command would go to the Power Unlock - pink/lt green (-) in the DKP wire and the green wire which sends a (-) on the lock command would go to the Power Lock - pink / YELLOW (-) DKP wire.
