Hi Guys,

New to the forum, sorry if this might be a little basic. I have a 2009 F-350 Super duty. I have installed a autostart (2 way) remote starter. Everything is fine but I have not been able to use the keyfob to disarm the OEM alarm. I have seen several different wires on different sites, some of which do not exist on my truck, I believe there are differences between 08- 09. I have tried ALL the wires in the drivers kick of these colors (GREEN/ purple) and (PURPLE / green) and using a (-) pulse.

I hope someone can point me in the right direction! Thanks in advance!

Peter.

hi,

what is the build date of the truck?  early '09s have the disarm wire in the door, late build does not.  turning the ignition on disarms the alarm.

Green violet is correct but i doubt you'll find it in the kickpanel as ford door wires usually travel up high. Look in the door jamb boot.

Thanks for the info guys, I don't have the build date handy, but it is a JOB #3 identifier, so it would be the last and final version of this superduty. I understand what you are saying about turning on the ignition disarming it because the alarm will not go off if it has started by remote. but there has to be a way to disarm it because the stock key fob does....

I will look in the door boot and see if there are more wires, but I do not know why there would be a disarm wire there? There were other diagrams indicating that the disarm wire was at the "smart junction box" connector, but there were no wires matching the description there...

according to ford on the late production models, the alarm is disarmed three ways.

1.  factory key fob...unlock button  2.  unlock code on door keypad  3.  ignition key turned to the on position

This wire runs from the drivers key cylinder to the SJB...

Thanks Guys!!!

I will look again in the SJB, but I did not see anything there before, at least now I know how to measure it! I will let you know how I make out. I guess it makes sense that it would be connected to that key cylinder so you can unlock and disarm with the key. So I will also check the wiring leaving the door.

Thanks again for helping me out, great forum!

Peter.
