Hello Guys:
I decided to install a NIKEN, push Start button, unfortunately the instructions don't tell me much, I was wondering if you could indicate me how to do so myself? The instructions only say:
1 Connect the push button to the relay. (Done)
2 The Black wire to ground (Done)
3 THE GREEN WIRE SHOULD BE CONNECTED TO TERMINAL 15(IGN)BEHIND THE IGNITION 4 SWITCH, WITH ANOTHER ONCE CONNECTING TERMINAL 50, BEHIND THE IGNITION SWITCH AS WELL
5 THE RED WIRE SHOULD BE CONNECTED TO TERMINAL 15
These are all the steps, as you can see, I only done 2, the other steps I am not so sure. Could you please tell me what to do exactly on a 2007 vw jatta

thanks

IGNITION      Yellow      On back of ignition switch       +
Remove the plastic cover around the steering column and you will see a small black box mounted to column held by 1 torx screw. Remove this box to expose the ignition key wires, they are all 22 gauge.

You DO NOT need to remove the box on these VW's. You can access the wires at the base of the box by cutting into the taped loom of wires. Use a CANSL2 or the iDatalink AL-CA and this will give you all the convenience feature interface wires necessary for alarm & remote start connections.

Yes, it will work. The wires are located after the black box under the steering wheel at the base.

Relevant to t&t's comment. what's the problem with the torx screw?  If you don't have a t20 driver/bit don't even attempt to work on one of these.

I want to second that recommendation. I found out the hard way on that one. Unfortunately the wires specified above didn't meter as ignition wires on the one I did.
