2007 chrys 300 base

Installed an auto start / alarm with a bypass module and everything work perfectly except one thing. I left one of the accesory wired loose so I can connect it to the rear defroster, but I can not determine which wire to tape into

does any one have the wiring diagram for the center concol controlls, so I can determine the wire that activates the rear defroster? 2007 Chrysler 300 base

It's probably not going to be that simple, unfortunately.

If you'd like full, detailed wiring on your car go to ALLDATADIY. A great tool and a year subscription is about the same price as a Chilton's manual while having far better overall info. I highly recommend.

As far as getting the defroster to work with the remote start, it'd be helpful if you'd share the brand/model of the unit you installed, but in all likelihood the easiest way is going to be connecting a wire to the control terminal of the defogger relay.

The alarm is an ungo sr9000 (made by clarion) hooked up with a fortin Evo-chr bypass module. There is a wire free to be connected to an accesory, and considering the wire that is connected to the defroster button just gets a pulse from the button, I assume taping into that wire would work?

Can you describe the wire that's "free to be connected to an accessory"? Is this the orange heavy gauge wire you're talking about?

Also, does the Ungo you've got have a blue/white "2nd status/defogger output"?

Last - is the defroster switch standing by itself or is it part of the climate control panel in the center dash?

its a thin blue wire, it is is the wire designated for a second output i.e. the defroster.

i dont have climate control, the defroster is its own button, but in the back is a harness with a bunch of wires that control diffrent buttons.

I was probably confusing, but by "climate control" I didn't mean automatic climate control necessarily; three manual knobs/levers can also control the car's interior temps.

Also as to the defroster switch - what I was trying to figure out was whether or not you could see individual wires going to the switch, but if it's part of a panel which has a large single connector that answers the question.

I've done defogger connections on Chrysler Sebrings/minivans, and though they had quite a few wires on their climate control panel, none were capable of controlling the defroster directly. I had to wrap the defroster control wire from the remote start around the control terminal of the defogger relay in both cases, and it seems like you'll probably have to do the same.

 I'm with Chris here. It's probably easier to find the relay find the coil contact which either goes pos or neg when hot window switch, sorry you call them rear defrosters is pressed and wire to that. Having said that the next option would be to find the rear defogger power wire and relay that.

I agree with you guys, going to the relay would be best since the rear defrost trigger is probably resistance triggered anyways.....I've checked with my wiring software and they do not supply any information on what needs to be done.  I also check for data driven module that might get you the input, nothing....
