I took the advice from people on here and had my avital remote start system installed professionally. Now, as I try to follow the instructions to program different features, they don't seem to work. I bought the Avital 4103L 1-button system. Is it possible to program other remotes to the system (i.e. 2 or 4 buttons)? Thanks for all your help!

what features are you trying to program?

Why not have the dealer who installed program these festures? They can do it in minutes with a bitwriter.

The bitwriter can lock out the ability to manually change settings, requiring a bitwriter be used in the future. They probably activated the 'lockout' option when programming the options originally.

I took it down to Car Toys to see if they could unlock it but it didn't work. The installer did not use a bitwriter on it. Can it still be locked? I did notice in the manual that if you hook up the bitwriter, you have to unplug the heavy gauge wire cluster while doing it? Is this true?

Ok, there are 2 menus for the Avital 4113L but one button. How do I select which menu I want?

Did they hook up the door locks when they installed it?

if its a 1 button start only they have nothing hooked up to the door locks so theres no door lock programming you can do, the locks are only being controlled by your factory fob
