Vehicle - 1997 Jeep Cherokee (XJ) w/ factory RKE
Wiring source used during insall - OEM Chrysler wiring diagrams.  Wiring listed on this site not correct for my vehicle.
Unit - Python 871XP keyless/Remote start purchased from Circuit City during my time as a Professional Installer there.  I am currently a tech at a Chrysler/Dodge dealer.  Basically I am really stumped on this issue...

Problem - I cannot for the life of me get dome light supervision to work.  The car I removed it from a few days ago...all was well.  I am using a relay and I can get the relay to operate correctly taking its trigger straight to ground.  So it seems as if the problem is not in the car but in the brain itself.  When using a meter set on continuity to ground there is a change in the figure during times the lights should be on.  If I connect the relay and the meter I get nothing on the display during acutation and obviously no light.  This suggests to me that the brain is outputting something...but I don't know if it is enough or what.  What meter settings should I use to really evaluate a 200ma (-) signal output?  I am using the same wire for negative door trigger that I am dome light but this should not be the problem seeing as the relay is not even firing.  I'm not aware that there is an option to disable dome supervision though programming on this unit.  What am I missing?

Other Note - I have noticed that sometimes the parking lights do not function, I wiggle the plug around a bit and they work.  I took all the pins out and fixed them up like new and still this and the main problem persist.  I opened the box and there are no bad solder points or burned items apparent the box.  Any help or ideas would be great!  Anyone have a good 871 brain laying around they would sell cheap?  :) :)

Well I had another Python security (1-way) until at the house.  I plugged it in and gave it a try and the dome light works perfect.  I suppose its an output in the unit burned up?  Should I worry about any other malfunction?  Is there any hope that DEI might swap me brain boxes?  Does anyone recall what model was just remote start from this generation of alarms?  I really don't need or want the security.  Thanks in advance for the info!
