Before you Flame I know but I don't

So, finally did the install, I read about the 2nd ignition needing to be hooked up. Did all of that. The Alarm/remote start is a Python 1600XP bypass module is a GMBP. Finished wiring everything, went to remote start truck runs and then I got the Check Engine Light[/U, codes PO740, PO785, PO1860. I went back and checked to make sure that I hooked up the RS wires right,

pink (Alarm ignition output) to Pink ignition
pink/white (Alarm 2nd ignition output) to White ignition

Everything good there, but I still get the darn CEL. Anyone have this happen, or did I miss something here. Before you Flame I know but I don't

Was just wondering, what would be the possibility that the 2nd ignition output that also acts as a 2nd accessory if program. Was actually not in default mode, so it wasn't the 2nd ignition but 2nd accessory output. Would this give me the CEL .

well, I would appreciated anyhelp someone might have, I just didn't expect no one to answer.

With that said.

I finally got a chance to look over the wires, I did hook up to the correct 2nd ignition wire on the truck and from the R/S. Now I went ahead and activated the remote start while I had a voltmeter on the wire from the Sat. relay. Guess what, it doesn't energize the 2nd ignition. I went back and made sure that it was set to 2nd ignition and not 2nd accessory. Manual says by default it is ignition 2.

So while I was probing, I checked to see if the ribbon cable was getting its input from the brain and I found out that the ribbon cable from the Sta. relay was showing +12v across the acc., ign 1 and ign 2 wires. I unplug the ribbon cable from the brain and checked there. No voltage, checked at the sat. relay and I was getting 12 v. The question now is, is it possible that the sat relay is bad, and should there be voltage going across those wires?

please help anyone.

Those wires from the ribbon cable, are normally negative trigger wires to the relays on the satellite, the only wire that should have positive voltage present on the ribbon is the yellow wire, which is the ignition input for the control module!

so are you telling me that the Sat could be bad, even the 2nd ignition wire on the ribbon cable which is pink/white is +12v. Because ever pin from the brain is negative, but the pins on the Sat relay are hot.
Was also wondering, I didn't hook up the 3rd 12v constant input (RED / white). Says that only need if additional current is needed. I would imagine that I don't need it hooked up.

No the sattelite doesn't neccesarily have to to be bad, i have never encountered this so i can't say for sure, but i'm working with the logic that relays are present inside the unit so it's possible that only when the negative trigger is applied the relays would activate and at rest they remain at twelve volts! Of course i could be wrong! Connect that RED / white wire and let me know if the wire energizes as it should!

have to try it tomorrow, dark out. Maybe the relay that fires the 2nd ignition needs more juice. So I will let you know, this was going to be my 2nd option. Thank you for your response I thought I was going to have to take this alone.

RED / white wire is needed its the power supply for the 2nd ignition relay

I hooked up the 3rd constant voltage wire (that they manual doesn't say to hook up if using the 2nd ignition wire)
Fired her up, and got my voltage across the 2nd ignition wire, no SES or CEL lights. So all is well, thank you for your help. Just wish they would say to hook the 3rd wire up, and why do they even have a 3rd wire. Other R/S units I have hooked up have only had 2 constant wires?
