Car: 1998 Corvette
Alarm: Viper 5002
Voice module: DEI 516L

I searched the forums for a while and couldn't seem to find the definitive answer on this exact question.

Question:
I puchased a Viper 5002 system and a DEI 516L voice module.  There is a siren in each package with different part numbers.  The 5002 has a siren output and the 516L has a siren input and output.  Do I need to mount and use the 516L and 5002 siren or can I run both systems from the 516L siren?  If I have to use both, how would I wire the siren output on the 5002 if it needs to run to both the 516L siren input and the siren provided with the 5002?

Thanks,

You would need to use both sirens! The siren that came with the 5002 the 514n would give you the confirmation and trigger alerts, this siren will be conected to the output of the 5002 the brown wire of the h1 harness to the red of the siren and the black of the siren to ground!

The voice module would have come with a separate control module, the two brown wires of the siren that came with this package will connect to the two brown wires on the voice control module, this siren will "talk", letting you know system status and tamper alert, as well as warn away alerts for would be intruders!

Thank you for the reply t&t tech.  So is it OK to have the siren output of the 5002 soldered to the 514n siren red wire and also to the 516L module siren input?
