Subject: two wires constant 12v?

Hey guys, as you guys may know I have a 03 G35 Sedan, and I'm installing a Matrix 50.5x in my car. I got everything working now, my unlock, lock, and siren etc. I just have this two wires, I know their red constant 12v's I believe. I can't get ahold of my previous installer, but I believe it's H1 asking me to connect the red wire to a 12v constant. Well, here's the issue..he spliced another wire to the red wire so there are two wires asking for a 12v (I THINK?)
I'm wondering, why did he have two wires asking for a 12v?
I have the yellow wire, which is in the remote start pin 1, to the ignition switch..
I have both the red wires, at a constant 12v under my dashboard..
I have the rest of the unlock/lock/door trigger wired up just fine at my BCM.
Am I missing something? Is my car suppose to be able to start up even when my alarm is still armed?

most starter brands require 2 12V constants split between the various feed relays..... the newer DEI units require 3 12V constants..... yes, certainly your vehicle should be able to remote start while the alarm is still active.... thats the whole idea of going with a hybrid unit..... ------------- Kevin Gerry

That red wire on the h1 harness would be to power the actual unit not the remote start, having a remote start power feed spliced onto this wire could have serious repercussions, as the draw of that wire will exceed the carrying capacity of the red wire of the h1 harness!

If in doubt take all the reds and the black to the battery and fuse them.

I do not believe it's a remote start 12v, its two wires from the H1 coming out of the red (12v). So should I find two seperate constant 12v's?
Also, I arm my alarm while sitting in my car, and I start my car up with the key, is the car still sopose to start up?

Get all the power for the entire unit from the ignition switch. If you arm the alarm the car should not start with the key(if it has starter kill)...

What two wires from H1 are connected to the red wire? You said one wire was red, what color is the other wire?

There is another red wire attached to thered wiring coming from the H1. I am unsure what to do with it?

I'm assuming it's aftermarket, so just trace it, see where lt's connected!

As I said for the 100th time.. it's a red wire connected to the red wiring coming from H1.

Every wire has two ends. You've stated several times that a red wire is connected to the red wire, but where does the other end of the red wire go?

I think what he is saying is he has 2 red wires coming from his remote start Harness (H1) that both need constant +12v. it sounds like he has one of them installed and needs to know where he can put the other one to get another constant +12v . am I correct?

Hey sorry for the super late responses lol. But remember how I had an extra red wire connected to the other red wire on H1. (Which one of them needs a constant 12 I'm assuming. Is it okay if I hook up both the red wires to the same constant 12v? I took this alarm out of my old car because my installer was really hard to get ahold of

Well if you are sure that they are current wires, connect them to the main source at the harness, only one thought crossed my mind with the advice i've just given..........................................., the post above says it nicely!
