I got this bypass for my 2000 gmc sonoma. In the instruction it says to hook up the blue wire to (-) While Running. What does this mean?

It mean that there is an output on your remote starter called "Ground out when running", use that wire to trigger your bypass.  What kind of remote starter your installing and also, what is the make of your bypass?

I'm back, you'll be using the WHITE/ black (ignition 3, neg 400mA) output on your blue wire of the bypass.  Did you connect all the other wires?

I havent tried installing the bypass yet because I wasnt sure if it would work with this starter. Did you read the manual i posted for my remote starter? it says that the ignition 3 wire 400ma requires a relay. Are you sure this wire is ok to use?

Yep...you'll be find with that one, did you connect all the main harness wires, ignition 1, ignition 2, accessory, starter and +12v?  Also, did you connect the parking light output and the brake input?

You don't need to hook up the tach wire, you can use voltage sense, I believe that the module is already set for voltage sense....when your bypass is programmed, just try to start your vehicule.  Also, make sure you have connected ignition 2 cause you can have transmission problems if not connected....it would be pink/white or simply white on the truck.

Yea I connected all the wires, not using tach wire. Also Im using the brake wire but not the parking lights wire because in the manual it says that ill need a relay for the parking light wire.
I have a question though, the by pass has a yellow wire that is supposed to connect to Ignition, do I just connect it to ignition 1 wire which is pink on my truck?

Dude it worked I'm so happy! I cant thank you enough for your kind advice. The headlights come on when it starts for some reason so thats a bonus. Again thank you so so much!
One thing though, when the truck is done turning over, it almost sounds like its turning over too much, like theres an extra second of starter spin. Is this normal?

If you really feel that the over cranking is really too much, you can plug  the tach wire and make you remote starter learn it...you will solve the problem.  Just remember that when it's very cold, that extra kick can be very helpful for proper starting but in the other hand, in the cold weathers, if your truck overcranks, you should get that tach wire hooked up.  It was my pleasure working with you....

Cheers.

Thanks again for the help. I screwed up though... I re installed all the paneling, mount the unit nicely, and after doing so I realized that I didnt test the heater.... sure enough it doesnt turn on whn i remote start the truck, and yes I have the heaters turned on if you're wondering :) I must have taped into the wrong accessory wire even though the meter readings were correct. Oh well live and learn
