Hi, A friend of mine bought an older Clifford alarm on Ebay, an Arrow 3 .It looks like a refurbished brain, including 2 remotes and an antenna . The problem is that when he connected the brain to the Clifford wiring in his car [ which had a defective Arrow 3 brain ] the Arrow 3 brain he bought is in " valet mode" and it does not react to the Plain View switch with code "2" . No Plain View code was sent with the alarm ! No reaction on the remote buttons as well . I connected the brain to my Cliffnet Wizard, version 1.3 , and it actually says it is in" valet mode" . You can only go to "in/output " and " monitor " . You can see that it reacts to the remote controls so these belong to the brain. How can I get the Arrow 3 out of " valet mode " again so that it can be used again in my friends car ? Thanks !

Didn't know Arrow lll worked with Wiz. If it responds to the valet switch try turning on the ignition and flicking the switch. If it's the later type (I haven't touched an Arrow lll in about 12 years,) try turning on ignition, pressing star side twice then plain.

Thx Howie for your answer, but I have tried to use the PlainView switch and use "2" as the code, twice push * and then once the blank knob, but it is no use........

It is weird that it reacts to the remote through the input/ output but not in any other way. If you see it in there they are programmed to the alarm. Try Taking it out of valet through the remote, trunk and star simultaneously. If that does not work try other button combos. Maybe they are programmed and just assigned wrong. Botom line is if you are recognizing remotes through the wizard, they are programmed for the alarm. If you can not get it out of valet through the remote, you are not going to be able to get it out without the code.

Hi, Well I came to the same conclusion that the brain recognized the remotes , I tried all possible combinations on the remotes , just 3 in this case , but the brain will not react and remains in valet mode . Guess my friend will have to look for another alarm . Appreciate your replies guys !!

Guess what....., although the valet switch buttons clicked nicely when pushed , the * button did not make contact when pushed, only when you wiggled it strongly . At last when connecting another valet switch I found out that the one in the car was faulty [ see above ] I then got out of valet mode, just two times * and one time on the blank button . First thing I did was to enable " remote valet " in Cliffnet Wizard . Though my friend swore he never used the valet switch it was already faulty ................
