I was wondering what you guys would recommend for a durable solenoid to use under the hood to pull the throttle lever before remote start? It's a '90 Jeep 2bbl carb. I need something that will take the underhood heat and last...

Thanks :)

Could mount it in the cab, doesn't have to go underhood.  I still say risky either way myself.

I've used the heavy door pooper/trunk pop solenoids. They are in a metal casing and work well...

Most solenoids I've seen are in a metal case, but I don't know what brands are good and reliable.
