How are you testing the dis-arm wire...? Here's how to test if it has factory security...Open door...roll window down...press lock on the switch...shut door...wait 60 seconds...open door...Is it honking at you-parking lights flashing...?

Ok, so it has an Automate alarm at least added to the factory keyless......Automate AM1 probably?

And you said it has a factory alarm too? Have you tested for this? If the car already had a factory alarm, they probably wouldn't have added an aftermarket one on top of it, although it does happen sometimes.

Anyway, the first step will be to find out just which Automate it is, and find an install guide for it online.

You will see that it has three connections to the car's doorlock motor wires.......lock motor, driver's unlock motor, and passenger's unlock motor.

The way it works is that it wants to see ONLY the driver's door being unlocked, that's how it disarms. If it sees all four doors unlock at once, it triggers.

From there you have two options:

1. Connect driver's-priority unlocking from your remote starter, using a relay. This would be the most correct way....the Automate alarm will work just as it did.

2. Disconnected the Automate's passenger-unlock motor wire from where it is now, and tie it straight to ground. However, in this case, if a thief presses the "power unlock" button on the door panel, it will disarm the alarm and allow him to to do whatever he wants from there.
