I'm new to the forums but I'm having this issue with this Clifford Intelliguard 8000 that I installed in a 01 Dodge Ram Full Cab pick up.

First let me start off when I pulled out the alarm out of a 93 Dodge Viper and I didn't grab the valet switch or siren out of the car. I don't know if this is apart of the issue or not though. Also I couldn't find the shock sensor in the Viper, so the alarm doesn't have a shock sensor installed in the truck.

When I got the alarm installed and when you would press the lock/unlock three times, not holding the button, the alarm goes off. So, when he would lock his car and forget something and unlock it if he hits the lock button again the alarm would go off.

Anyone have suggestions about what is going on with this alarm? I have more experience with Autopage than I do with Clifford because the shop I work at only carries Autopage.

Suggest getting hold of the Wiz and reading off the problem. This is a new one on me unless it's activating a factory alarm.  Have you installed the correct resistors to activate/disactivate the factory alarm if present rather than just the locks?  Have you done the door contacts rather than the dome light?  Doesn't this one need a double lock and unlock pulse?
