ok i been getting useful information from here just i cant find everything

im a beginner but if i know what i have to run 1 wire to another im good. the installation guides arent always great to go by. pictures help so much

extras i have are the 520T, 530T and 507M

i decided to hook the dei 507M tilt sensor to the shock sensor. i included a picture to have you guys see if i done this right. does it have to be diode isolated.

what exactly is this for and is it necessary, i dont have a domelight, i have 4 seperate lights at the grab handles
H1/9 BLACK/ white (-) 200mA domelight supervision output

H1/10 WHITE/ blue (-) remote start activation input
it doesnt list where this goes, is it necessary

next, the backup battery 520T trigger is hooked to the gray hoodpin H3/4, is that ok and does that need a diode also

and lastly for my trunk. i have linear actuators to open and close the trunk via a momentary switch. is there any way i can hook it up to work with the alarm remote. its not hit the button one way and it goes all the way up, hit it the other way and it closes, if the trunk is half way open and you let go of the button it stops where ever it is.

sorry thats a lot

Yup you have that sensor wired correctly!

BLACK/ white- used to turn the dome light on and off when the alarm arms and disarms

WHITE/ blue- is used to activate the remote start via an external source (example, if you want to have a button wired inline to ground inside the car, two momentary pulses of the button would start the car, then you can just insert your keys to take over and drive)

No need to isolate the blue wire of the back up battery!

kickass, and you said the tilt is wired correctly, it does not need a diode on that one correct

im going to hook the domelight up cuz i like that feature. i really dont see a point for the WHITE/ blue i may hook it up anyway

other question i have is i rarely use the headlight switch since being a cadillac it has the "twilight sentinel" which auto turns the headlights on at dark and depending on the switched settings will keep the headlights on after the car is off for up to about 5 minutes.

im not done with the alarm right now but when its done, will that pose a problem when i arm the alarm and then the lights go out

and last question while im here. i have the 530T window module, i plan to put it in tommorow or at least start on it. i keep getting different answers from different people. they say you dont need any relays for the 530T. other people say if you dont put a relay on the wires going to the motors 1 relay for up and 1 relay for down, it will burn the unit up

also, i keep seeing stuff that worries me, the VATS wires

ok i have a 1995 cadillac fleetwood with the chip in the key. i measured the ohms and went to the car audio store and got a matching resistor.

i cut the vats wires, soldered the resistor in and and that was that. car starts up everytime, i drive it everywhere

everytime i search i get something about having to run a relay from the vats to the ignition and to the resistor to bypass and an immobilizer will shut the car down if not done. if thats the case why doesnt it do that right now.

Ok! I don't have any personal experience on that vehicle, maybe someone else could answer your questions! Notice where i'm from, you need a magnifying glass to see us on the map! posted_image
