hi guys, i'm new to installing alarms, and by looking in the manual it confuses me on which cable i can leave out, i only have the 5901 unit by itself and an Xpresskit 556UW, can anyone please help me out with the install? or know of something similar so i can follow step by step? I've searched the forum but cannot find any install guides for this unit. Thanks in advance guy

The 5901 is a super hard unit to understand...Especially for beginners...There has been several posts on the subject...Specifically the ignition harness wires...The 556u is pretty straight forward...Maybe find a local shop to install it...But if you really want to attempt this beast...The civic is a pretty easy car to do...Is the car automatic or manual...?

hi tommy, it's a manual, i'm curious and want to do the install myself, in the manual it talks about 87a relay, that's why i'm i'm not sure. But i'm waiting on a sunny day to do the install, any hints for a beginner? thanks

Doesn't this unit rquire a 689m if it's a manual. Where does it mention a relay? Starter cut is built in, can't see any reason for extra relays unless dome light control is needed, even then if domelight comes on when car is unlocked, that's not neccessary.

it mentions them in combination with the ignition harness...Doesnt need relays...it lists the pins for the internal relays in the wire desription...flex relay or something...
