1993 Sentra GXE Hi I installed th Viper 5701 in my 1993 Sentar GXE- experiencing the following issue: Step 3 - Getting into Automatic Transmission Mode for Remote Start Function- - Need to change to Automatic Transmission from default Manual Mode
- When I press and hold the valet switch (per Automatic/Manual Programming) the LED does not flash 3 times (no flashes at all) Siren chirps 3 times (no chirps at all)
- The alarm functions of arm and disarm work - Remote Learn (Default Setup) completed succesfully - alarm sounds etc.
Any help would be appreciated ------------- Thanks for your help

Is your door trigger wire connected? It really is simple to program, but everything must be functional first!

Door pins need to be connected cause the brain needs to see the door open, then turn ignition on the back off, press the switch until you hear 3 chirps, then release the button then press again and hold, you'll hear 1 chirp...while holding down the switch, press the unlock button on the remote, you'll hear 2 chirps that confirms automatic mode...release the switch and wait 5 to 15 seconds until you hear a long chirp, it mean that you have exited the program mode. You're done. Good luck.

did you ground the NSS wire? do you have the toggle switch plugged in? both are required to allow R/S to engage..... does it try to start? if not, how many light flashes do you get? ------------- Kevin Gerry

- When I engage the Remote Start function, I get 1 Parking Light Flash
- After trying to Remote Start- I tried to start the car with the key,
- the car will not start until I toggle the Remote Start switch to the off position.
Any thoughts? Thanks ------------- Thanks for your help
