Hello all,
I have an Autopage RS-1000 hooked up in a 2006 Escalade EXT and I am not sure if I am missing anything but the alarm goes off (door trigger) right before remote start. This vehicle has been a PITA for the door triggers so I decided to just use the domelight has the all door trigger. This is the only trigger I have connected at the moment. there is no shock sensor or tilt module connected etc.
The unit does not trigger for two days sitting in the garage. I had it rewired a few times tracing down a battery draining issue which was traced to my Idatalink module so I replaced it. I just remote start it and as soon as it turns the ignition on, which am sure the domelight came on, then the alarm triggers while the vehicle is running and i have to unlock the the doors to disarm. Take into consideration that the factory alarm is not what went off, the aftermarket alarm did. The factory alarm disarmed ok.
I would think the brain would ignore that trigger since its initializing the remote start sequence? I might not have any option but to unlock upon RS and Relock. This sucks, any ideas?
I see an option in the programming to ignore the domelight for 45secs with IGN on or off. I hate to wait 45 sec for my alarm to go off if someone gets into the truck.....(:
Thanks
ok fellows,
I may have found the problem. I realize that when i lock the doors the domelight comes on for a brief second. The unit is set to lock on RS and Lock on shudown so I will just set it to lock after RS shutdown and see if that fix the issue.
Thanks
I also need some help with this. I have an Autopage RS-855 installed on a 2005 GMC Yukon. When I use the remote start while the system is armed it sets off the alarm. The truck still starts but the alarm is going off. It works fine when the alarm is not armed. I contacted Auto Page and they said to program the feature of having the system ignore the dome light before remote start. And of course did not tell me how to do it, just to go to the nearest authorized dealer. Is this something that can be programmed with the transmitter or is this something that has to be wired somewhere??
