HEy guys i am new to the forums. Ok i have installed a few alarms , but i have a few questions about installlign remotestart.

I will be installing remote start in sienna 2004. Acoording to wiring diagrams it's factory security disarms with factory keyless ebtery remote. But i want to install after market remote start. So to which wire would i send a negative pulse to disarm the factory remote start.

Question 2:

According to wiring digrams honda civic 2004 only disarms with factory remote. So does that mean i cant install aftermarket remote start on it thanks.

Here's info for an '05 Sienna, should be the same as yours.

I'm not sure where you're getting your info that these vehicles only disarm via factory remote - I know for a fact that's not the case with the Toyota. In any case that shouldn't stop you from doing a remote start install. What's probably going to be more difficult for you is the immobilizer bypass.

As far as the Toyota - you just have to use a (-) status or 3rd ignition output to ground the keysense wire when remote starting, which disarms the factory alarm.

The title of your post says 2003, but then inside your post says 2004.

Sienna 2004-2009 are all pretty much the same. Use the search feature and you should find good wiring diagrams.

Civic didn't get a factory alarm until 2006, unless it was dealer installed.

Don't know where i got Accord from! Chris is right, remote only for arm/disarm but they were rare dealer installs that you can easily unplug to get rid of.

kuljot,

Look at the 2 link bars at the top of the screen. Click where it says "Vehicle Wiring".

I already checked there. I didnt find sienna 2003. Then i looked in 2004 aqnd 2003 it does not tell color of key sense wire. So if some one could give me that it would be nice. I also have another question. The sienna has factory keyless entery can i remove that and install it in my camry

I don't know of any easy way to remove the factory keyless entry.

The keysense wire should be in a 4-pin plug, with four small wires running toward the key cylinder. Keysense is often blue or blue/black, but just test all four wires and it'll be in there.

P.S. Have you tested to see if this Sienna actually has a factory alarm? If not, keysense isn't needed.

Well it doesnt have alarm like horn blaring or anything. But what i have heard and i think i may be wrong is if the alarm isnt disarmed the sparks plugs are shut down. Like its a silent alarm. So ill test it out. Also one last question. Lets say like i have 2 starter wires And my alarm does not have extra wires to trigger a relay. WOuld i use that stater wire from remote start as the starter wire and a trigger for relay. Thanks.

Read this, and you'll have your answer. Hint: Your Sienna is not made by GM.

kuljot,

You're getting a little mixed up about "factory alarm" and "factory immobilizer."

Alarm: flashes lights and honks horn when someone breaks in to steal your stuff.

Immobilizer: doesn't allow car's engine to be started without a valid key.

You might not have either.......what trimline of Sienna is this? CE, LE, XLE?

With engine off and key removed from ignition, is there a flashing light that says "SECURITY" anywhere on the dash?

Ok thanks for your help so far. Now i have question about the tach wire. So the tech sheet says get it form ignition coil. My question is are the ignition coils the little spark plug looking things. If not can you post pictures and stuff to tell me where they are located. Thanks so much.
