We bought the truck used from an auto dealer, and it came with a, keyless/remote start
alarm system, (Code Alarm). The keyless entry quit working one day, we check the fuses and
replaced it, but after we did this, we noticed that all the lights on the truck were workind
except for the rear running tail lights. We would really like to get the wiring diagram on the
vehicle so that we can just remove the system, the alarm nerver worked on it since we have
owned it and really could careless about remote start.
thank you

While we were waiting for your response, we unhooked the alarm system, but still no
running lights. Here's the deal, we have brake lights, directionals,back-up and rear hazard
lights, all front lights work, just no rear running lights. The rear signal lights, and running lights use
the same bulb, so we know the bulbs are not bad. Still only the signals work. There must be a wire
broke somewhere in the electrical system. Is there a wiring diagram on this vehicle that will
show us how and where the wires run through out the truck, so that we may trace the wirring for
possible breaks, we have check the wire that runs along the frame, or do you have any Ideas of your
own.
We called 2 dealer service departments and they were clueless, and I'm not to sure it's in the
Alarm system.
Thank You
LaVonne
If there is a break in the wire you should be able to pinpoint it with a DMM and use the continuity function on the wire to see where the break is.
