My 2004 Dodge Dakotas factory keyless entry has failed. The dealer is unable to program the BCM (body control module) to accept replacement remotes. They suggest replacing the $600 BCM. Everything else works.

I would like to install an after market alarm with keyless entry that would improve upon and hopefully control the factory alarm system. I have not installed an alarm system for over 10 years but had quite a bit of experience at that time. I would really appreciate any suggestions on what alarm system to install. Improved sensors and perhaps remote start would be nice.

Thanks in advance.

What do you think of a Viper 5901.

What would I need to do to integrate it with a CAN BUS module?

Does Viper publish install guides?

Viper 5901 is a nice unit! All the alarms come with install guides! They are not tailor met to your personal vehicle if that's what you mean!

I'm not sure about your integration with the canbus! Notice where i'm from, I haven't even a clue what your vehicle looks like! LOL! Someone else will help you there! Sorry!
