Hello, I have an 06 Expedition and was wondering if there was a way to generate a negative pulse when the ignition is turned off? Thanks, Ryan

From the truck, just use ign.1, it will go to neg on ign off.

Does it need to be a pulse, or can it go to ground and remain there until the key is turned back on? How long does the pulse need to be? Can it be as soon as the key is turned off?

Yeah, it has to be a pulse. I'm using a PAC TR-7 timer for my lighting project and need would like to wire the truck so that when its shut down (after running), a short negative (or positive for that matter) pulse from the truck will be sent to the PAC TR-7's trigger wire. Ignition ON--->Ignition OFF--->Negative or Positive pulse to PAC TR-7--->Timer functions begins

Surely (and I don't know this unit) the TR7 works like a 528t in that it doesn't matter whether it's a pulsed or latched (constant) input the output will only be for the time set.

Have you bought the TR7(s) yet? I can provide you with a better control system then all the hassle you have been going through. I could set a small circuit up to activate a programmable time delay on an actuator pulse and when the ignition drops out - it should meet all the requirements that you are looking to include. ------------- Kevin Pierson

If you already have the TR-7, let me know, this can be done with 2 relays 1 capacitor and 1 diode.
