Have you programmed the remote to the default setting?

you usually have to program it to the standard configuration in the manual I believe (disregard my post, I thought you were trying to program additional remotes to the brain)

disarm it for now by turning the ignition on and pressing the valet button once (if you did not change the setting)

The valet button is on the antenna receiver.

1993 Sentra GXE

Alarm deactivated with Valet Key

  • Remote Learn (Default Setup) completed succesfully - alarm sounds etc.
  • Reset features to factory default
  • System will NOT arm or disarm with remote

When I try to program the remote;

  • press f for 12 seconds
  • remote emits 1 long beep
  • I press and hold unlock command for 1.5 secs
  • remote beeps twice and stays on
  • The arm, disarm and remote start & aux leds DO NOT turn on

Any help would be appreciated-Thanks
