In the process of installing a Compustar CM4200-DX Remote Start on my 07 GMC Sierra. For the bypass I am using the idatalink ADS-DLSL-GM3 Solo and the ADS-RNG-GM3 transponder bypass. Got most of the wires figured out except a couple connections I'm not sure about. First, on the main harness of the CM4200 Pin 3 (RED / White) wire it says to connect to constant 12v. This wire powers a relay which triggers a 2nd starter, accessory, or Ign. Do I just disregard this wire as the truck does not have a 2nd starter, ing., accessory? Second, same harness pin 4 (white wire) says it is an Accessory 12v+ output and should be connected to the Heater/AC blower motor. Is this needed or will it come on once the vehicle is started? Finially, not sure about the door lock/unlock wiring since Im using the idatalink?
Any help appriciated!!

I know squat about Compustar, but i know the bypass well. You must connect an Ignition from your RS to the pink and the Accessory from your Rs to the brown(sometimes yellow) wires in the ignition harness. The idata bypass will do the rest. If this is a 2 door Sierra the lock wires are in the drivers fuse box. All 4 door trucks you connect the lock wires from the Idata to the RS.... ------------- Mike M2

Yep got the pink and brown wires. It is just an extended cab not a crew cab so it is probly the same as a std. cab. I am using the link cable to link the RS to the idata. Do I hook the door lock/unlock to the idata or to the RS? Do they use the datalink cable to communicate once connected?

for the unlock and lock no connection is required if you are using the data connection

Still alittle confused if this connection is even needed since I dont have a 2nd ing, starter, or Acc.? CM4200 Pin 3 (RED / White) wire it says to connect to constant 12v. This wire powers a relay which triggers a 2nd starter, accessory, or Ign. Do I just disregard this wire as the truck does not have a 2nd starter, ing., accessory?

Again i don't the product, but it may power something else also so i would hook it up. I usually get power for my RS right on the back of the drivers fusebox, fat RED / white wire.

Got it hooked up everything seems to be working except the parking lights. The install manual says hook the GREEN / WHITE wire in Pin2 of CN1 to the positive parking break light wire. Could not find in at the BCM or kick panel so I got it at the switch but it does not seem to work still. I have the DIP switch set correctly in the unit itself aswell. Any ideas or a better way to find the correct wire?

Man, are you trying to connect parking lights, parking break lights, or break lights?

You won't find a positive light wire at the switch, only negative. I don't think there is a positive light wire inside the truck at all, just under the hood. Use the negative, light blue at the switch or BCM, white plug pin 8. ------------- Mike M2

I have dark blue in brown plug pin 24 at the bcm, neg trip
For pos trip, you can pick that up under hood at the fusebox, usually a brown wire but can be light green on some production models.
I'll have to double check but doesn't the CM4200 have selectable parking light output?

There is a switch inside the unit you can switch it from parking lights or truck release mode.

Look at a copy of the 4200DX manual that I have, there should be a 7 pin connector with a GREEN / WHITE wire in pin 1. This wire is a neg parking light wire rated at 250 mA. You should be able to use this to flash you parking lights on the dark blue wire. My schematics only show the dark blue wire as a neg signal from the bcm to the parking light relay coil.
