Hey Guys. New to the site. I was referred by a buddy of mine and said that if anyone could help me it would be you guys. I tried to call Directed on my own and they would not peak to me as a consumer.
I have a 2002 Mustang GT, 5 Speed Manual, and a Viper 5101 1 way remote start system. The system works perfectly and have the clutch bypassed properly with a relay system so it WILL start without the clutch when the remote start is used, but you still need to push the clutch when the key is used.
Here is my actual problem. The Blue LED on the valet switch/antenna/Control Center will not stop blinking. It blinks when the car is off, which is fine, but it also blinks when I am driving and this is really annoying. For now I have placed a strip of black electrical tape over it so it doesn't bother me. What would cause it to continually blink? It seems to blink every 1-2 seconds or so. Does anyone have any Ideas? I appreciate the help guys.
thanks
Ron

You maybe have a defective unit. Make sure the sticker on the bottom side of the brain is a 9 model or higher.
Otherwise it is not sending a unlock signal to the LED. Basically it thinks the car is locked still.

that's not a bad idea either, but there isnt a separate plug for the led. its built into the control center which from what i understand is also the antenna isn't it?
