2009 dodge ram w/factory remote start

Have an 09 Dodge Ram 1500.

It has factory remote start. Is there any output from the remote start when it's active to disable the sensors on the alarm? Have a Alpine SEC-8063 I had bought for another car and never installed and would like to put it on the Ram.

I had an 8049 on another vehicle and when I added remote start, I had to connect the remote start active wire to the alarm to disable microwave sensor/impact sensor as alarm would go off every time I remote start.

I looked at the iDatalink but it didn't look like it had an input for that.

Well, the truck's ignition circuits are going to be on when the remote start's on, right?

I would say you could find some sort of wire that comes on whenever the ignition is on (maybe in the kick panel or fuse box?) and use that to trigger a relay(s) to interrupt the sensor(s).

86: ground
85: ignition from truck (good idea to put a small fuse inline)
87: no connection
----cut sensor wire from alarm in half-----
87a: one side of cut sensor wire
30: other side of cut sensor wire.

If it's one of those four-wire sensors, you'll have black (ground) red (positive) and green and blue (two trigger wires).

I once (on an Audiovox unit) tried using one relay just to interrupt the red or the black....didn't work.

I ended up using two relays, one to interrupt the green, another to interrupt the blue. You might have to do the same.

P.S. I'm also assuming that the ignition input to that Alpine will make the alarm trigger.........but you'll need the ignition input for programming and other things.

There should be an ignition wire that comes from the back of the keyswitch in the truck.

I'm hoping that it does NOT come on during factory remote start, but that it DOES come on when you turn the key to Run.........use this wire as the ignition trigger for your alarm, to avoid the alarm triggering during remote start.

Also to add on to what Chris Luongo has said in regards to the ignition wire at the switch - you can also use that as your alarm's ignition input even if it's powered up during remote start.
Just cut the wire in half, insert a diode with the cathode side facing away from the ignition switch, and connect the alarm's ignition input on the ignition switch side.
