Hey guys,

I'm new to this forum, but been an active member of 3-4 Subaru forums!

Now i had a couple questions, but first off i'll describe my vehicle to help diagnose the problem!

Its a 2006 Subaru Legacy GT (with an immobilizer key) Manual

The problem:
When starting the car this morning, it started just fined, but kept wanting to start (the starter) as in the starter kept going even when the car started for about 3-4 secs. Once it was started, the starter stopped after 3-4 secs and the car ran for another 2 secs, then completely stopped. Then again tried again for 2 more times, and i had enough and just cancelled the remote start.

Now since the weird acting of this morning, it doesn't want to remote start anymore, and when leaving the car (i had it programmed for turbo timer, 2mins) it shuts down completely. It doesn't stay 'on' like it should.

What can be the problem? Its like the remote start doesn't see the car started, shuts it down, then retries. But the starter keeps going even if the car is started!

It seems like something is either disconnected or fried, since i dont hear anymore relay's when pulling the handbrake when parking my car.

I've had the alarm installed for 4 days, seemed to work good for arm/disarm, but the remote start has always been an issue (starter wanting to keep starting). But it never happened (in the past 4 days) that the car shut down then restarts 2-3 times.

Any inputs would be appreciated, i'm getting my installer to check it out today, but can it be the 'famous' tach wire that isnt connected properly?

Thanks
JP
