I bought this car and I noticed that the rear defroster did not work when I pushed the button. So I checked the fuses and noticed it was blown. So I replaced it and then pushed the button and it turned on and blew again. Can anyone tell me what might be wrong?

Thanks

Sounds like there is a short somewhere.  What size was the fuse that blew?  Have you checked the owner's manual to make sure it is the right size?  Whatever you do, do not put a larger fuse in the slot unless the manual says it is larger than the fuse that was in the socket.

You should be able to find the plug in the rear of the car that conects the wires to the rear window, unplug that plug and try it again.  Does the fuse still blow?

When I got this car the previous owner informed me that the driver seat did not move. She told me that she had had it manually moved to her size.I am thinking the motor still works? What could be the problem? How do I trouble shoot?

Replace the defrost fuse and try the seat before you try the defroster.

Ok so I put a new 15 amp fuse (which is recommended) in the socket, and unplugged the rear defrost plug. Then I tried the seat and it didn't work. I tried the defrost and it worked for 30 sec and it blew again. Then I went to trouble shoot the seat and noticed there were 3 plugs disconnected but nothing to plug into. I also noticed little puncture holes as if someone was testing them. I looked under the passenger seat and noticed 2 wires that were cut and also with nothing to plug into. Also under the passenger seat was a plug harness with nothing to plug into. Any idea's?? Thank you.

If you want to move the seat to a more comfortable position, can you locate the larger wires that go to the motor itself?  If you find the wires that go to the motor, if you apply power to one of the wires and ground to the other wire, the motor will move in one direction.  If you reverse the wires, the motor will move the other way.

you need to check the fuse again , because you have another fuse connected to that one
