A few months ago, installed 2 front power windows (spal)on a 2008 Corolla.I used the accessory wire at the ignition switch to power up the unit and after using the windows a few times, the fuse popped.I had used a relay as described in the installation guide.
Had to switch to constant power as this was the only way the fuse wouldnt pop but that drains down the battery after a few days. There is no problems with the motor install or the wiring as i have checked everything.Where would be the best place to pick a switched power source?
Would appreciate any info i get. Thanks

The proper thing to do is to use a relay to control the windows. The power source can come from the fat white or blue wires on the front of the BCM. Control only the relay from the igntion switch....

Why were you popping fuses? I prefer them constant, the only way you would drain the battery is via iluminated switches, but they couldn't drain that much.  Bet there's a wiring fault somewhere such as a snagging cable. When does the fuse blow?
