okay,  this is going to be a bit lengthy because I want you to know everything I have done.  I have a Motorjoy GTO-Patrol remote start and an xk532 bypass module.  I know it's a real cheap remote start but my wife had it on her last car and wanted the same one again.  I stopped installing remote starts in 2005 anyway, here is how everything is hooked up.

7p Connector

green =  positive door trigger                           not connected

yellow = starter kill                                              not connected

white = key on                                                     hooked to pink wire at key cylinder

orange = brake pedal + input                          hooked to green wire at brake switch

red = oil sensor/tach/+signal when running     tried both to a 12v ignition wire and 12v constant wire

3p connector

red = 12v constant                                               hooked to battery

blue = accessory                                                 not connected

brown = ignition #1                                             hooked to pink wire at key cylinder

brown = ignition #2                                             not connected

yellow = starter                                                    hooked to pink wire at xk532

12p connector

purple - siren                                                       not connected

5 wires for door lock/unlock                             (I know there are connected correctly)

brown = lights #1                                               to WHITE/ violet at drivers kick panel

brown = lights #2                                               not connected

green = = trunk release                                    connected to 86 on relay, 85 and 30 grounded and 87 goes to orange wire xk532

red - 12v constant                                              battery

black - ground                                                    grounded to body

3p connector

GREEN/ black = - starter bypass module        going to brown wire on xk532

BROWN / black = window roll up                         not connected

blue/black = hood switch                                 not connected

so now that you know all connects, now for the xk532

violet/white  is going to violet/brown wire at key cylinder

violet wire is going to WHITE/ orange about 3 inches to right of key cylinder skim module

so all wires are hooked up.  have installed the 1k resistor on pink wire on xk532 that goes to yellow rcs start wire and grounded

I have programmed the xk532 and tested by pulling out key fob board and starting key with xk532 next to it.  starts fine.

I have checked the led on xk532 and when connected, it stays solid red, I insert key with key fob into ignition and red light on xk goes away

I have tested the xk this way as well.  cut the brown wire and grounded it. inserted key without keyfob in and it starts just fine as well

I have tested the start wire with multimeter to make sure yellow wire sends 12volt on start up and it test fine.

I have even installed relay to second ign wire for the brown wire on xk532.

all this troubleshooting and car will stil not crank

doors lock/unlock, horn beeps, lights flash everything works fine.  when I try to remote start, the accessories all come on but I hear the relay click but car never cranks

I have pulled wire off of the cylinder and inserted key into ignition and tried to start and still no crank.

but car still starts up fine with keys.   on a side note, the truck pop is not working as well.  Have replace the relay for that and double checked wires.

I think I have exhausted all my possiblities but want some more professional opinions.

Please help.  it's getting cold in chicago and I just had a baby 3 months ago.  My wife wants me to take it in but I know I am close to solving the problem

Please, Please, Please Help.  thanks for taking the time to read this long process.

Rick

Does it turn over but not crank?  Or does it not even try to start?

I believe crank and turn over are the same thing.  so the car does neither.  only thing is does when I try to stat the car is the accessories come on and I hear the relay click but nothing else happens.

Not sure about that the resistor installtion guide doe not say anything about it

last part on page 3 of xk532 manual about not having a conventional start wire.  the car doesn't have a start wire at the key cylinder, it's all computerized.  so you have to install the yellow wire(starter wire) from rcs to the pink xk532 wire.  if you just install it without a resistor, then you can start the car once but will not be able to start it again until you reset the xk532.  you have to install the resistor to trick the computer that it has shut off.

Sorry did not look all the way to the end of the instruction.

Are you sure it is flashed with the right Firmware. it should come with the right one but maybe by chance it was flashed wrong
